These are the songs that I've been on for a while. I've given up on using streaming platforms. These days I'm using an older phone as a DAP, using musicolet as my player.

I am looking into diving into physical media. No money for vinyl but probably CD's and cassets. Thrifts around me seem to always have cd players around, and CD's arent too hard to find. I'm afraid of diskrot but its better than being held to the whims of streaming companies. Either way I'll likely have a backup of digital files anyway.

My Setup

I've got 3 ways I usually listen to music. At home I'm at my desk or in bed. At my desk I'm running the Audio Technica M40X's, straight out of my PC headphone jack. They sound great and have my preferred sound profile for most media. It's been about 6 years though and the hinges are broken. I'll be trying to hold on as long as possible before replacing them. I'm short on funds so will have to see about that.

In bed I have some speakers set up in my room. These were actually cannibalized from my parent's out-of-use kareoke system. They're a pair of sony L&R speakers + subwoofer from from a SONY AV system. Originally it was a 5.1 surround system for movies and stuff. Im actually using the 2 front and 1 subwoofer in the system's built in 2 channel mode. Honestly it sounds just ok, a little boxy actually, but it was free and good enough.

On the go I'm running the Moondrop Spacetravels. They're cheap for TWS + noisecancelling, and they also sound quite good. I've lost my first pair so I'm on my second pair now. The noisecancelling isn't the best, and the transparency mode leaves alot to be desired. The case is also kinda odd, but the sound is there and I've never had issues with connectivity. My ears aren't good enough to hear degredation from bluetooth, so at their pricepoint they definetly are a top pick from me. I might upgrade to a different pair when these break or I lose em again. Depends on if I have money at that point though.
